I love eating breakfast on Saturday mornings with my 4 year old daughter here. The staff is awesome, they play upbeat music and make a killer french toast with walnuts, banana foster and ohhhh it's so yummy!! Worth the wait! First come first serve.
Awesome brunch place. Amazing food and great service. If you are planning to go on a Saturday or Sunday morning wait time will be at least 20mins.
Very good place for breakfast and lunch.
For a few reasons I’m giving this place five stars staff was very friendly very attentive place was very clean food was delicious and coffee and I didn’t get rushed out pancakes were made to perfection bacon was nicely crispy I will definitely return to location
I lived in Brooklyn for 3 years from May 2015. My husband and I met there for lunch when we got there and we were blown away at the service and atmosphere of this place. The owner, his wife and children truly care about making sure that customers are pleased with their food and the level of service. My husband ordered their banana pancakes and you can taste real fruit in it. They were so accommodating and let my husband get very creative with what he wanted. I can't wait to get back in Brooklyn NY to go to this great place with amazing food! I have taken most of my visitors there and they were never disappointed. A must try!
Pretty good spot for breakfast and brunch. Food is very good and prices are low. Coffee is ok but they have fresh squeeze orange juice and it's very tasty. Service is very good and the restaurant is clean. It can get crowded on the weekends so plan ahead and expect about a 30 minutes wait for a table. The place is not very big so it doesn't feel very cozy when it's crowded.
Awesome for brunch
Great place food is awesome
Bad thing that they don't accept debit or credit card. Their coffee policy is interesting. You can get 1 free if your meal costs more than $10.50. Although two cups of coffee was enough, I would like to have bottomless coffee during my breakfast though. Food is decent.
Intimate place and attentive staff. Lines long on weekend
THE BREAKFAST WAS INSANELY DELICIOUS! The place has that old style, small diner feel, but the food was anything but ordinary. I ordered the "Angry Crab Cakes Benedict", 2 Eggs Benedict with a light delicious lump crab cake on an English muffin topped with this perfect, spicy Hollandaise sauce. There was a small mesclun salad next to it with these luscious slices of juicy heirloom tomatoes topped with a delectable, reduced balsamic vinegar that tasted like it was a 20 year old aceto balsamico from Italy... MIND BLOWN!!! I was not expecting this, it has to be one of the best breakfasts I have had in a very long time!!! I spoke to their guy, Chef Harris, he definitely pays attention to detail. It was good to know people like this still exist. If you want diner food, don't come here... This is way too good to be called that. Thank you for making my birthday breakfast "Special".
Very busy nice place for breakfast & lunch nice healthy menu & large variety of beverages hot & cold friendly staff & a very clean restaurant!
Have to agree with other reviews - it's like other diners around so wouldnt come in expecting anything crazy different. The food was good and came out fast. $11 for brunch is a good deal. The orange juice was freshly squeezed so that was a nice touch. Ordered the Kick Ass Benedict and Irish Breakfast.
Typical dinner/coffee shop. Good brunch.
It's a diner/luncheonette. Service is efficient and the selection large. Food is better than average.
Good ambience, and great staff. Note that this place does not accept credit or debit. So keep cash in hand.
Great food, friendly staff and usually my favorite place to have breakfast. There can be long wait times due to the popularity of the restaurant but I would most gladly wait for my table. Small diner with about 10 tables. Not the biggest place but the service and quality of food is exceptional. Worth a visit or three!
Fresh food with a creative twist. Spinach feta omelet was delicious, as was the French toast.
Solid food, but cash only.
Found this place on google maps while looking for brunch spots, and this place hit the spot! Their BLT was amazing, crispy turkey bacon, crispy lettuce and crispy toast - perfection! Also really great fries, not soggy at all! Service was okay, the staff wasn't very attentive but defiantly a yummy place to come back to :)
Lovely little mom and pop Greek diner that's been around for ages. I normally don't like diner food but this has become one of my go-to spots It's also packed a lot of the times, so expect a wait if you go during peak times. Service is great and food is pretty good as well. Love their french toast with walnuts and bananas.
Loved to eat at this diner. Did takeout this am and was given three small thin pancakes for $10. So disappointed!!! Tasted like it’s from a box (pre made pankcake flour). Such a shame when you want to support a small business!!!
Try the Kick A** Benedict, just do it! Also the pancakes are delicious!
Place is kind of small and they only except cash. But the food and service was really good
First time visiting recommended by family. Lovely friendly staff very attentive, food delicious definitely recommend breakfast tacos they were awesome. Will return when next in Brooklyn.
I really cant remember when was the last time I went to a place for breakfast or lunch in particular that reminded me I wasn't in NYC, this is the place. Creative food dishes that will leave you stunned and feeling melancholy. The fresh squeezed grapefruit and more importantly the home made mint lemonade (it's not minty but feels refreshing) was incredible. The Kick A__ plate with two poached eggs on top of a fresh and hefty piece of delicious ham, on top of a toasted bread and the sauces gives it a slight spicy(very bearable) kick that just left.me wanting more. I'll be back at least 3x a month when I head to Brooklyn. This place is now on my top 5 in Brooklyn, well NYC for that matter for breakfast and lunch. And not.to leave out the prices are so decent that your just nor going to believe the experience overall. Enjoy, I know I did and will continue to enjoy. Love this place.
Enjoyed the quality of food, but I disliked having to pay extra for toppings. A regular turkey sandwich went up to $10 because of mayo and cheese, not worth it.
Great little diner. I come here on occasion before I go shopping. You have to go early if you don't want to wait for a table since this place is always hopping. The only bummer is that this place is cash only.
The food is always good and the service is fast. It's usually crowded- for good reason! I love the French toast and fresh grapefruit juice. Beware: it's cash only. I do believe that they have an ATM, but there are several banks on 86th Street between 4th and Ft Hamilton so save your money. Anyway, I recommend Pegasus as one of the best breakfast spots in the neighborhood.
One of the best diners to serve delicious food...their omelets and waffles are the best..very creative menu and good coffees and beverages
Food is delicious but you have to get there early.
Small, cozy joint that serves great chicken and waffles. I like the coffee, and their orange juice is freshly squeezed.
Delicious breakfast as always
A lovely 7 minute walk from Mike’s. We walked into this establishment to try the legendary chicken and waffles. I ordered it and it was an absolute delight until Silangil stole my wing. Highly recommend.
great breadfast, pricey you get what you pay for.
AMAZING! You will have to wait before being seated to eat here. Do it. You won't be disappointed. Perfect eggs benedict! Great waffles! Try the fresh squeezed orange juice.
Pick your time carefully. It gets crowded. And there's a good reason for that! Everything about this place is excellent . . . it's just small. Great menu. Great service
Pretty good. Great service. The place was nice and cozy. Good prices!
Great place with great food but you may have to wait for a seat.
Food was great. Great service
Wow. The food is simply amazing! The atmosphere is very cool and the service is fantastic
Great little spot. I some how find myself here almost every Sunday right at opening time. And I always love it. This last time was the first time I tied these breakfast tacos with waffle fries. It was really delicious!
**Ordered takeout during COVID pandemicFood*Spinach & feta cheese omelette (good) with home fries (no flavor) and white toast (OK) - small portion overall
I don't understand the crazy long lines and rave reviews I've heard; this is just like any other diner. It's definitely small, which can explain the waits. Staff are efficient but not overly friendly. Fake maple syrup is a cardinal sin in my book. Overall, it's okay. It's definitely conveniently located to the subway, but the waits mean walking farther to go somewhere else is just as convenient.
